This year Two de Force had the delight of managing the Yaffa L!VE series at the Arts Centre Melbourne. Climate Control News L!VE / HVAC&R Leadership Awards was the first up, followed by Food and Drink Business L!VE Breakfast Forum, Australasian Paint and Panel L!VE with The Body Shop Awards closing the Yaffa L!VE series for 2018.
The event saw speakers from all disciplines in their respective industries, share their business wisdom and personal success stories. Attendees came from all corners of Australia to learn, network and celebrate with their colleagues and peers.
Two de Force managed these events from conception through to delivery – and what a delivery it was.
These events, and the series they belong to, tested us here at two de force – we were keen for the challenge! With a total of 4 events (5 if you count the HVAC&R Awards as a stand-alone!) taking place between 12pm on Thursday 11th October and 11pm on Friday 12th October; what a jam packed 35 hours.
We were tasked with creating a comfortable, bright space that linked to each of our different clients’ branding. We had to keep in mind the very short lead times between each event – which allowed us to get creative with the event branding. But it is not all dressing the room and making it look pretty. By strategically planning the layout of each event we minimized the ‘faff’ time between events. Making sure we had slick and seamless transitions.
Managing the production and speakers throughout the day was a fun task (for the OCD part of our personalities). Our detailed run sheets and timings ensured all speakers got sufficient rehearsal time, and that programs, videos and demonstrations were tested also.
