On Thursday 27th July, the annual ASTRA Industry Awards, hosted by Tara Rushton, presenter of Kick Off and Sunday Shootout on Fox Sports,welcomed excited guests to the stunning Simmer on the Bay, Walsh Bay.
The Awards recognise excellence in marketing, advertising and promotion across Australia’s subscription television industry. The awards span across 12 categories for both individual, team and channel achievements.
Every year Two de Force work in tandem with ASTRA to improve the awards. Building on categories, entry and judging criteria to ensure that the program moves with the changing industry.
With over 30 senior industry judges, entries were judged in two stages. The specialist online system allowed judges to view, score and select finalists prior to the live judging, held at Fraser Suites, Sydney CBD. The Live judging day was intense and some categories had such a high calibre of entries that judges struggled to come up with one overall winner.
Two de Forced organise all judging and event logistics including moderating each panel session to ensure a bias-free result. With the judging process a success all focus was on making the awards night flawless.
The beautiful industrial style venue was styled with elegant furniture and a black carpet arrival. As guests entered the upper level of the venue a digital exhibition wall had been designed and installed showcasing and celebrating all the finalists.
Trayed drinks and canapés were served pre-and post the Awards and the well sought-after Candy Buffet was, as expected, a great (sugar) hit!
