It was a pleasure to organise the 2019 Australian Magazine Awards (AMAs), now in its 10th year managed by Two de Force. The AMAs provide Australian magazine publishers with the opportunity to be recognised and rewarded for their excellence and innovation over a 12-month period.
This year the event format was re designed to a more casual style cocktail party. Guests were treated to drinks and canapes as they circulated the room all while being entertained by our MC; AdNews Senior Journalist Josh McDonnell.
The Two de Force team work closely with AdNews throughout the entire event planning process. We oversee the development and reshaping of the awards criteria every year, manage entry submissions, coordinate the live judging day as well as all event day organisation.
In the lead up to the AMAs we coordinated the event design, secured the venue, managed communication with all finalists, sponsors and various suppliers and ensured all guests were looked after.
The Australian Magazine Awards are also an annual celebration of the industry and it was fantastic to be in a room of so many talented writers, editors, designers and publishers who were so supportive of each other’s work and achievements.
