As the spiritual home of football for all Australian’s, what better way to celebrate the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia than to host a soccer event for 20 media agencies. That’s where Two de Force stepped in. We proposed a fun filled night celebrating culture, diversity, passion, excitement and of course football!

The brief allowed us to take the lead on all event elements including; venue selection, invitations, order of proceedings, catering, entertainment, styling and personalised uniforms. The list of deliverables excited us and we were eager to see our proposal come to life.

With just 7 weeks from winning the tender to the event day, Two de Force had a lot to achieve with minimal time!

Soccer balls with each panel displaying event information were delivered to agencies. They created a unique and interactive way to capture interest from those invited.

All competing teams were allocated a FIFA World Cup qualifying country and upon arrival at the event were handed their official countries jersey - personalised with their agency name and SBS logo.

The bleachers were a world of colour as teams took their seats eager for the competition to commence. But firstly, guests were treated to a traditional Russian performance with over 20 dancers captivating the group. This kicked off the tournament with a bang!

During the games, cheerleaders positioned themselves along the sidelines entertaining spectators, encouraging players and creating a fun atmosphere for all.

There was no shortage of food as waitstaff circulated the event with concession trays serving Russian inspired hot dogs and popcorn followed by a delicious Russian feast at 3 separate food stations.

The lovely SBS presenter Lucy Zelic felt right at home commentating the games. The semi finalists battled it out for a position in the Grand Final while the supporters made as much noise as possible to support their teams. The crowd went wild during the nail biting All-Agency Penalty Shoot out while exciting prizes and giveaways were plentiful throughout the evening.

As Spain took home the trophy at the end of the night our DJ hit the decks while the agencies enjoyed the balloon drop and music.

Suffice to say it is always a great day when you get to work with a client who is truly looking to deliver the most engaging, fun, creative and talked about events in the industry.  The 2018 SBS World Cup Agency Football Challenge is one for the books.
