Managing an exciting event like the Australian Magazine Awards (AMAs) is something the TDF team look forward to every year. Two de Force have worked closely alongside AdNews since the AMAs inception in 2009. Since then, they have been hugely successful and well received, providing the Australian magazine publishers with the opportunity to be rewarded and recognised for their excellence and innovation. 

This year, the awards welcomed a fresh new format for the presentation. The 2018 AMAs were celebrated in a cocktail party setting as opposed to a Breakfast as it has been in previous years.

A panel of industry professionals were carefully selected and invited to a full judging day to shortlist entries in each category. After a full day of reading through entries and some healthy debating our judges selected our finalists and winners. 

Two de Force liaised with all sponsors of the event to ensure their presence at the Awards was showcased. Certain levels of sponsorship included presenting awards to winners, as well as physical promotional materials, and branding on the Awards presentation.

This year the 2018 AMAs were hosted at the Ovolo Woolloomooloo, a beautiful waterfront venue in Sydney’s East. The hilariously talented Ivan Aristeguieta hosted the event and entertained our audience.

Upon arrival our guests were greeted with tray service drinks and a selection of delicious canapés. Formalities commenced and all finalists and winners were celebrated and congratulated for their work. There were 16 categories this year including a Hall of Fame award honouring great Australian Publisher Morry Schwartz.
