Two de Force have managed the MFA Awards since their inception 19 years ago.

This year, we made the decision to move the event to the Royal Hall of Industries where the expansive space and blank canvas gave us the flexibility to develop a floorplan to suit our needs perfectly.

On the 19th October the media industries most influential people made their way to Moore Park where they danced along the MFA Awards red carpet to the tunes played by DJ Sasha Moon in the Channel 9 Kombi.

Once inside, the Married at First Site swing was quite literally in fill swing! Guests originally dressed in black tie with a touch of red had transformed into brides and grooms and posed for their official wedding GIFs.

It wasn’t long until Australian screen icon and our event MC, Stephen Curry had guests in hysterics. He had a mighty task ahead of him with over 50 Awards to be recognised but he moved through the procedures swiftly and respectfully. Guests were well looked after with eskies stocked to the brim for any parched onlookers.

The second part of the event had guests move into a beautiful candle lit space. It was there that they enjoyed a decadent main course before moving onto the final award announcements. To assist with the winner reveals, our Grand Prix sponsor RED created a spectacular 360-degree screen that enveloped guests. It was truly awe inspiring.

At the close of the Awards, the enthusiastic crowd celebrated their industry in the after party where a stylish lounge and RED lolly bar were hugely popular.

It was the end of an epic day but also a monumental year. Two de Force work on this program a minimum of 10 months of the year. We are responsible for coordinating all sponsorship entitlement, entries, judging and the event itself – and we love it!
