When we received the call to be involved with the new scope Cannes Young Lions program to say we were excited is an understatement.

News Corp Australia had some exciting ideas, which they wanted to roll out for 2017 and we were only too happy to assist.

The program has many facets. It began with the launch of 4 separate briefs. We quite literally received hundreds of responses. Judges then reviewed each entry in order to narrow the entries down to a shortlist.

Shortlisted entrants were then invited to attend the exclusive Cannes Young Lions ‘Bootcamp’. A hub was created in the News Corp Australia head office and that was where the entrants were based for a week.  Those in attendance had access to News Corp Australia senior staff, training, off-site excursions and other amazing opportunities.

On the Wednesday, entrants received a 24 hour brief. They quite literally had 24 hours to craft their response to be in with the chance to win their brief and go on to compete on a global scale. Thursday morning Two de Force collected all the responses and coordinated judges for the final day.

To wrap things up, a cocktail party took place on Thursday evening announcing the winners and runners up.  Four lucky teams will head to Cannes to compete against competitors from around the world.

It was an intense week with Two de Force managing the logistics of the program but wasn’t it worth it!
