2015 ASTRA Industry Excellence Awards

The 2015 ASTRA Industry Excellence Awards held on the 16 July 2015 at Simmer on the Bay, a unique event space in Walsh Bay.

The annual Awards ceremony & cocktail reception, hosting approximately 200 of the industries experts, recognise excellence in marketing, advertising and promotion across Australia’s subscription television.

Awarding ten categories, Two de Force worked closely with ASTRA to develop categories, build entry and judging criteria, continually update terms and conditions and process all entries.

To keep up with the time, this year Two de Force moved the ASTRA Industry Excellence Awards to an online entry and judging system. Starting with blank template, all Award categories, criteria for both entry, frequently asked question, terms and conditions were uploaded, as well as ensuring that the creative met the ASTRA brand standards.

A live judging day was held at Fraser Suites, Sydney CBD to confirm the winner in each category. Two de Forced liased with the venue on days logistics as well as with the confirming availability with the judges. Two de Force also moderated each panel session to ensure a bias-free result. 

The Awards ceremony was hosted by MTV Australia’s Kate Peck with award presenters including Steve Liebmann from The History Channel and SKY NEWS, FOX SPORTS’ Matt Shirvington, actors Craig Hall and Sara Wiseman from SoHo’s A Place to Call Home and Foxtel CEO Richard Freudenstein. 

We set the beautiful industrial style venue with a black carpet arrival and as guests entered the upper level of the venue a digital exhibition wall had been designed and errected to show case all the finalist. The lower level hosted a simple stage set up with a large screen to ensure the the attention of all attendees was held for the 30 minute presentation. 

 

Trayed drinks and canapes were served pre and post the Awards and the well sort after Candy Buffet was, as expected, a great hit!
